Longpoint Beach is gorgeous and not quite as crowded as some of the other public beaches on Martha’s Vineyard. It is a Trustees of Reservations beach, and their mission, quite simply:
“The Trustees of Reservations preserve, for public use and enjoyment, properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts”
There is a fee to enjoy Longpoint Beach. It is $10 per car, $3 per adult, ages 15 and under are free. We recommend getting a Trustees of Reservations Family Membership for $65 which allows members (2 adults, 2 kids) to enjoy the beach for free and park for half price. If you visit Longpoint three times during your stay, it is worth it. It is also a tax write off, and helps maintain beautiful nature preserves all over Massachusetts. Not only that, with your membership you have discounted or free access to these other properties, so check it out! Just don’t forget to bring your Trustees Membership card with you.
